The Indonesian Ambassador to Havana, Nana Yuliana, held a meeting with the President of the Jamaica KADIN, Lloyd Distant, to discuss improving trade relations between the two countries in Kingston (27/10/2021).

“Indonesia sees Jamaica as an important partner in the Caribbean region. In terms of trade cooperation, it has progressed quite well, but there is still room and great opportunity to increase the cooperation. For this reason, the Indonesian Embassy in Havana is ready to facilitate meetings between the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and Industry and potential partners in Indonesia to explore further trade cooperation,” said Ambassador Nana.

Responding to Ambassador Nana, Distant said that Jamaica appreciated Ambassador Nana’s idea and was committed to increasing its cooperative relationship with Indonesia. For this reason, it is necessary to hold further technical meetings to discuss the existing potentials, so that concrete steps can be followed.

Indonesia – Jamaica have a fairly good cooperative relationship. So far, there have been a number of discussions on political, socio-cultural, and economic cooperation. Especially for the economy, there is interest from Jamaicans to buy medical equipment and hospital products from Indonesia. click here to read more.
