Lloyd Distant is currently Executive Chairman for Casa De Xaymaca and Reggae Vibes Limited, which houses several Retail concessionaires at both the Norman Manley International Airport and the Sangster International Airport.
He is an accomplished business leader, with a strong finance and technology background, coupled with over three decades of demonstrated leadership in driving sales and profits, turning around flat performances and mentoring top talent for industry leading companies.
Lloyd has been actively involved in the Chamber since 2004 and, having held Chairmanship for several of its Committees, and was first elected to its Board of Directors in 2008. He was elected President of the JCC in October 2018.
Melanie is the Deputy Chairman of Musson (Jamaica) Limited, and is the Chairman and CEO of Stanley Motta Limited and Felton Property Management. Additionally, she is the Executive Chairman of the Musson Foundation, and the Seprod Foundation. Melanie is the Vice-Chairman of General Accident Insurance Company Limited. and T. Geddes Grant Ltd, a director of Facey Group, Interlinc Limited, Eppley Limited, Eppley Caribbean Property Fund, PBS Group and all its subsidiaries, Seprod Limited and all its subsidiaries. She is Chairman of the Audit Committee for Seprod Limited, Interlinc Limited, and PBS Group. A keen angel investor, she is a director of First Angels, and a director of Bookfusion Ltd. Melanie is the 1st VP of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics, and mother to three teenage girls.
For sixteen (16) years Peter worked at Goodyear Jamaica in various positions of increasing and multi-layered responsibilities culminating in the appointment as Managing Director in 1997.
Peter joined Massy Gas Products (Jamaica) Limited as the Chief Executive Officer in 2006 and subsequently moved to Massy Gas Products (Trinidad) Limited in 2013 as Chief Executive Officer. For four years he held the position of Executive Chairman of Industrial Gases Line of Business and Country Manager in Jamaica for the Massy Group.
In November 2019 Peter joined IGL Limited in the capacity of Managing Director. Peter is a Past Director of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, Past Chairman of the St. Patrick’s Foundation and St. Catherine’s Preparatory School and is an active Volunteer at the Missionaries of the Poor.
He is a graduate of the University of the West Indies (St. Augustine) with an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, a post-graduate with Diploma with Honours in Management Studies, and a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University.
Michael serves the JCC through his position as Chairman of the Victoria Mutual Group. He has been a Vice-President of the JCC for 4 years. During his tenure Michael has worked for the Chamber to adopt a greater member-centric approach to its planning and activities through the use of officer outreach and opinion surveys. Michael also represents the JCC in its successful efforts to create closer ties with the parish and community - based Chambers of Commerce and is spearheading JCC engagement with the redevelopment of Downtown Kingston. He also sits as a director of the JCC and the Sameer Younis Foundation.
Ian Neita is the Group Executive Director of Yello Media Group, a publishing and digital marketing company which operates in 20 territories across, Latin America, Central America and the Caribbean. He has a strong analytical background with proven expertise in planning, organization building and leadership. He has had wide exposure to International Businesses and the environments in which they operate.
His twenty-five (25) years of executive experience spans General Management, Investment Banking, Telecommunications, Marketing, Sales and Distribution. Ian joined the JCC Executive in November 2017.
Wilbert is an audit partner in the professional firm, KPMG. Wilbert has professional experience exceeding 30 years and has managed statutory audits for numerous companies within the Financial Services, Manufacturing and Distribution sectors along with the Tourism, Leisure and Travel, and Education industries. He currently serves as the Honorary Treasurer at the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Accounting Standards Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica and is head of Corporate Responsibility at KPMG.
Soan has over 25 years professional experience and a proven track record in the audit and accountancy profession. Sona is a Senior Manager for Internal Audit at the Jamaica National Group. She is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and have attained the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) global accountancy qualification. Her professional affiliations include the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ), the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in the U.K.(ACCA), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Association of Certified Anti-money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS). She currently serve as the Treasurer of the Alpha Academy Alumnae Association, Jamaica Chapter and Assistant Honorary Treasurer at the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce.
Christopher is the CEO and Managing Director at Altamont Hotels, he started his eventual journey into the hospitality industry, with an unlikely degree in Engineering Technology and later, an MBA and along the way, gained certification as a chef and is also a certified and licensed lifeguard. He has worked from the ground up in his family owned and operated hotel business starting with Altamont Court hotel in Kingston and later adding Altamont West on Montego Bay's ‘Hip Strip.’
He is a Director of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, presently serving in the capacity of Honorary Secretary and is Chairman of the Jamaica Hospitality and Tourism Association (JHTA) Kingston Chapter, Co-Chair of Kingston City Marathon (notably the first internationally certified marathon course in Kingston) and serves on the Board of Directors of Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo).
Christopher is married to Nicole and together they have two daughters.
Larry Watson became the CEO of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce in December 2020 having served as President between 2017 to 2019.
Larry has over 40 years of leadership and management experience gained both local and internationally. His substantial career has been in the wine & spirits industry having worked with Tia Maria International and at J Wray & Nephew Limited where he attained the position of Managing Director of the Global Markets Division.
