No. The JCC’s Conference Board is a JCC sub-Committee responsible for organizing & staging several forums e.g.: the release of Quarterly Business & Consumer Confidence Indices (in partnership with the National Commercial Bank; the Wednesday Morning Seminar Series (a partnership between the JCC and Myers, Fletcher & Gordon) etc. and other events supported by other sponsors and subscribers who are not necessarily members of the Chamber.
Directors are elected by the membership of the JCC at the Annual General Meeting. Individuals standing for election must be nominated by a representative of a member company, and must belong to a member company.
The term of a president is one year and for a director, three years. Both offices are elected at the Annual General Meeting.

Firms and institutions wishing to become JCC members must be formally registered in Jamaica and tax compliant. Applications must be proposed and seconded by two members of the JCC’s Executive and ratified by the Board of Directors. To become a Member click here
Yes. Individuals may apply to join the JCC in their individual capacities i.e., not on behalf of a firm or institution. Potential members must complete an application form and be proposed and seconded by two members of the JCC’s Executive and ratified by the Board of Directors.
Dating from the time that the necessary paperwork (e.g. Company Registration document and current TCC) the period can take as little as 2 weeks.
