Dr. Marshall Hall, Chairman of the Labour Market Reform Commission made a presentation to the Board of Directors of the Chamber at their meeting on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
The presentation provided a summary of proposed recommendations by the government which is aligned to Vision 2030 Jamaica.
The main task of the Labour Market Reform Commission is to oversee review of existing policies and practices with respect to five thematic areas/elements of the labour market and to make recommendations for their revision/updating towards modernization of the labour market and enhancement of the competitiveness of the Jamaican economy.
